Favorite Saying
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.  -Mother Teresa

Coaching/Teaching Philosophy
My main goal as a coach is not to transfer knowledge, though hopefully that will happen . My goal is to inspire the players to learn and grow on their own. I want to give them ideas and a foundation for that process. But it is not until the players are passionate about their own development that they will truly be successful. The short amount of time we are together is of some importance. But when a players decides for himself to practice at home and be creative, that is when he will succeed and that is when the team will succeed. It is the coaches job to create an environment and the tools so that this process can happen.

Favorite Quotes
I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is precisely why I succeed. -Michael Jordan

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit. -Aristotle

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. -Jesus

Short Life Bio
I was born and raised here in Tulsa along with almost all of my family including my parents, sister, grandparents and several aunts and uncles. I went to Owasso High School and Oral Roberts University. I graduated with a degree in computer science and currently work for Alliance Coal doing computer programming and application development with oracle database systems. I attend Believers Church in Tulsa. Our vision is to restore and rebuild lives through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We also believe in the importance of doing life together and not facing life's difficulties on your own.

I started playing soccer when I was 6 at union soccer club in east Tulsa. I joined Union Thunder 82 my first year of competitive. After that we started a new team called Blaze 82. My dad coached us until we were 16 years old and we developed into a formidable team. Every year other coaches told me I needed to go to a better team to develop myself but I chose not to. We stuck together until college where we went our separate ways. During the same time I went to several tournaments with Central Tulsa Thunder 82 and Norman Celtic 82 along with the ODP tournaments and our Blaze tournaments. My biggest disappointment in my soccer career was not reaching the NCAA tournament but I have no regrets on any of my decisions along the soccer path. I enjoyed my career and encourage everyone to follow their dreams.
