DUININCK STILL WORKING MAGIC WITH HIS HEAD

Charlottseville, Virginia -- Sammie Duininck’s header was blocked, but it left the goal open and his teammate Chris Phillips found the empty net and put Liberty up to stay against the #12 Ranked Virginia Cavaliers on Tuesday night at Virginia's Klockner Stadium.  Doeninck was nominated for several "goals of the year" for The Side during his career with WSA 92.  All were goals off the noggin for the big center back.  His most famous goal, which has become legendary (and maybe exaggerated over the years) came in the State Championship game vs OFC 92 while WSA 92 trailed 2-1.  Legend has it Sammie "sailed" through the air transcending the height of the crossbar, floating mid air before nodding in the equalizer from the corner of the six just moments from the full time whistle.

It's great to see Sammie still making his mark during his sophomore stint at Liberty.  Keep track of Liberty, now 3-1, through the season as they may climb into the national polls.

Congrats Sammie and good luck on the rest of your college season!
