WSA 97 GIRLS TIE FOR THIRD PLACE IN LEAGUE PLAY

The WSA 97 girls finished their Fall league campaign in third place with a total of 12 points on 4 wins and 3 losses.  The points was enough to earn the squad a 3-way tie for the 3rd spot with OK Texans and Blitz United.

WSA 97 turned in an improved season and Coach Billy Wallace noted that the team is "very close" to becoming one of the stronger teams in the league.  While conceding 13 goals on the season the team found the back of the net twice more than they allowed scoring 15 goals.  "It's a great group.  I love these girls.  They are, as always, a little goofy," reported Coach Wallace.

The team has come close in recent seasons to gaining a league trophy, and in doing so this season it marks the achievement of one of the team's goals.  "On the right day we can beat any of the teams in league.  We'll see how it plays out next season, but I think we can improve another level and who knows what we might achieve?"

The team will take a short stint off for the holiday and will begin preparing for Spring league play shortly after the holiday season.

Congratulations WSA 97 Girls on a great season!
